Service Description:

 Consolidated Spatial Plan Concept Map: This is one of seven Metropolitan Spatial Development Framework (MSDF) procedural guidance maps for 2023, each of which will need to be consulted when evaluating the suitability of an application for development. The MSDF maps provide a high-level view of where land uses and investment are encouraged, prohibited or restricted through legislation. On this map, the overarching consolidated spatial plan concept for the City is reflected, which encapsulates the policies and strategies contained in the 2023 draft MSDF. Both the approved 2018 Cape Town MSDF document and the approved 2023 MSDF document are available at https://www.capetown.gov.za/work%20and%20business/planning-portal/regulations-and-legislations/cape-town-spatial-development-framework.
